What is Rudelsingen?

Rudelsingen is a format of communal singing that emerged in Germany in the 2010s. Unlike karaoke, where individuals sing in front of an audience, Rudelsingen is about all participants singing songs together – as one large choir. Lead singers with microphones present the songs, and the audience sings along. The lyrics are displayed on large screens. The repertoire includes evergreens, Schlager, pop hits, rock classics, and folk songs – songs that many people know and enjoy singing along to.

On Friday, June 5, 2026, Rudelsingen will celebrate its premiere in Kurpark Osterode. Organizer VTM Osterode is bringing the format to the Kurpark for the first time, creating a new summer evening event in Osterode's calendar. With the green backdrop of the Kurpark, the open-air acoustics, and the relaxed summer evening atmosphere, the premiere offers ideal conditions.

Simon Bröker and Maximilian Saul as Lead Singers

Simon Bröker and Maximilian Saul will host and guide. Both are experienced lead singers and bring the repertoire as well as the rousing energy that the format requires. A special atmosphere arises from the very first song: shyness gives way to the shared joy of singing, and after just a few songs, the entire audience is singing along loudly.
