27th Sowwerummer Rosenmontagszug with subsequent After-Zugparty on the market square
Bad Sobernheim, known as Sowwerum in the local dialect, has its own Carnival tradition that has developed into an integral part of the festival calendar over the past decades. The Förderverein Sowwerummer Rosenmontagszug e.V. is the organizer of the most important date, the Rosenmontag procession through the city. The association works on a voluntary basis and in close cooperation with the Bad Sobernheim Carnival clubs.
With the 2026 edition, the Rosenmontagszug enters its 27th year. Over the years, the procession has built up a loyal fan base that comes to Bad Sobernheim every year from all over the Nahe region. The exact route and the procession numbers are published by the association in advance of the event.
Following the procession, the After-Zugparty takes place on the market square. The Nahe DJs provide the musical program and ensure a lively atmosphere for dancing. The party is open to all Carnival participants and onlookers who want to end the day in a convivial atmosphere.

Free admission. Payment is for food and drinks at the stands and during the after-party.
By car via the A61 (exit Bad Kreuznach), then via the B41 to Bad Sobernheim. Parking in the designated areas on the outskirts of the city. Due to city center closures, travel by public transport is recommended, accessible via Bad Sobernheim train station.
Road closures will be in effect during the procession. Candies will be thrown; sturdy footwear is recommended. Costumes are welcome but not mandatory.
