Three weeks of events centered around the queen of flowers – the rose – in the Bad Bergzaberner Land.
The Rose Weeks Bad Bergzaberner Land are a multi-week series of events that begins at the end of May and ends in mid-June. During this time, most of the native rose species bloom in the southernmost Palatinate – and the region uses this blooming period to establish itself as a rose region and attract visitors. The series is not a central large-scale event, but rather a collection of individual events spread across various locations and participants.
The series is coordinated by the Tourist Information Bad Bergzaberner Land. They collect suggestions from municipalities, associations, nurseries, restaurateurs, vintners, and cultural organizers and bundle them into a joint program. This results in approximately 50 to 80 individual events each year, covering the entire spectrum from botany, culinary arts, hiking, and concerts.
Classic components of the Rose Weeks include:
The Bad Bergzaberner Land benefits from an exceptionally mild climate – with a growing season comparable to Tuscany – and a long tradition in horticulture. Several historic castle and monastery gardens in the region have been developed into rose gardens in recent decades; individual nurseries have specialized in rose cultivation. This tradition makes the Rose Weeks more than just a tourist spectacle – they are an authentic expression of the regional horticultural culture.
The 2026 edition continues the successful concept of the Rose Weeks: three weeks of decentralized events celebrating the rose in all its facets. The complete 2026 program with all individual events will be published by the organizer in the spring. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years.
Current information will be published on badbergzabernerland.suedlicheweinstrasse.de.
