The Roonkarker Mart — also spelled Roonkarter Mart — is one of the oldest and most traditional Volksfests in Germany. With its 891st edition in 2026, the market in Rodenkirchen (municipality of Stadland in the Wesermarsch district) looks back on almost 900 years of history — its origins are dated to the year 1135. With 160 showmen and four days of market activities, the Roonkarker Mart is the largest Volksfest in Wesermarsch.
