Three-day wine festival in the village center with vintners from Rohrbach, Insheim, and Herxheim at Villa Wieser
The Rohrbach Wine Festival is one of the early summer wine festivals along the Southern Wine Route. From June 12 to 14, 2026, the center of the wine village between Landau and Bad Bergzabern will transform into an open festival grounds with wine service, Palatinate cuisine, and a convivial atmosphere.
The central venue is Villa Wieser – a historic manor house in the village center, which provides the backdrop for the festival with its courtyard and garden. Vintners from Rohrbach, Insheim, and Herxheim will present their wines here. The festival opens daily at 5 p.m. and runs late into the evening.
Villa Wieser is a historic manor house in the Rohrbach village center, which today houses event rooms and a spacious courtyard. During the wine festival, the courtyard is used for wine service, seating areas, a stage, and wine stands. The ambiance combines rural Palatinate with historic architecture, giving the wine festival its special atmosphere.
What makes the Rohrbach Wine Festival special is the cross-town participation: In addition to the Rohrbach vintners, wineries from the neighboring towns of Insheim and Herxheim also present their wines. This gives visitors a representative selection from the wine region between Landau and Bad Bergzabern. Riesling, white and gray Burgundy, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, and sparkling wines are available for tasting.
Local clubs provide the cuisine: Saumagen, bratwurst, liver dumplings, tarte flambée, Palatinate salads, potato soup, and sweets round off the gastronomic offerings. Live music is played in the festival tent and at the stage area; cover bands and DJs provide the mood in the evening.
Rohrbach is located about 8 km southwest of Landau and is a typical Palatinate wine-growing community with just under 2,000 inhabitants. Nestled between vineyards and the Rhine plain, the village belongs to the VG Herxheim. In addition to the wine festival in June, Rohrbach also celebrates a traditional Kerwe (church fair) in late summer, ensuring a well-filled festival calendar year.
