Rock The Hill — edition 2026
The 2026 edition is officially confirmed as the final edition on the official festival website rockthehill.de: The organizers have announced that due to increased costs, it will end after 2026. Four days of festival operations, combined with normal Bikepark operations at the Geisskopf.
The final setlist and schedules will be published on the festival website; advance sales via rockthehill.de/tickets. For 2026, visitors from the entire German-speaking mountain biking scene are expected — a farewell edition of one of the most unusual German festival concepts.

Festival and Bikepark Merge
Rock The Hill is a Bavarian original created by the Geisskopf Bikepark in Bischofsmais, Regen district. Instead of a classic festival on a meadow, it combines stage concerts with mountain biking on its own trails: During the day, the audience rides down the Geisskopf's routes — beginner lines, flow trails, challenging tracks — and in the evenings, bands play on the main stage. There is an MTB EXPO with manufacturers, test bikes, training sessions, and courses. This mix is rare in German-speaking countries.
Authority Zero, Das Lumpenpack, Sondaschule
The lineup of Rock The Hill is tailored to the Bikepark audience: Punk, Ska-Punk, Rock, and German folk-rock are the main genres. In 2026, Authority Zero (US punk rock), Das Lumpenpack (acoustic comedy rock), and Sondaschule (ska-punk) will headline. Previous editions regularly brought nationally known headliners to the low mountain range — an achievement by the organizers, considering the journey to the Geisskopf.
Geisskopf — the Bikepark in the Bavarian Forest
The Geisskopf is located in Bischofsmais in the southern Bavarian Forest, about 30 km east of Deggendorf. The mountain was developed into a mountain bike park in the mid-2000s and has since been one of Germany's pioneering bikeparks — Geisskopf chairlift, signposted trails of all difficulty levels, bike rental, hotel, and gastronomy infrastructure. It is precisely this existing bikepark infrastructure that makes a festival like Rock The Hill possible.
Last Edition 2026 — Bikes, Beats, Farewell
The organizers have announced the last edition of Rock The Hill for 2026. The end is justified by increased costs — a common problem for medium-sized open-air festivals in Germany. Therefore, a special atmosphere is guaranteed for 2026: a farewell mood that will bring back regular guests since the first edition, complemented by newcomers who still want to experience the festival. On-site camping, KulturPass eligible (200 EUR federal funding redeemable for festival entry for 18-year-olds).
