Rinteln Firewood and Farmers' Market

Opening of the Event Year

For years, Pro Rinteln has opened the public event year in the Weser city with the Firewood and Farmers' Market. At the end of January / beginning of February, Rinteln's market square transforms into an open-air winter market hall, focusing on firewood and heating. Forestry companies from the Weserbergland present their assortments, provide information on wood types, drying levels, and combustion properties, and establish contacts for ordering larger quantities.

Farmers' Market with Regional Products

Parallel to the firewood offer, direct agricultural marketers from the region present their specialties. Sausages and hams from farm slaughterings, regional cheese, honey, bread and baked goods, preserves, and winter vegetables – the selection is diverse and underscores the agricultural tradition of the Schaumburg Land and the Weserbergland.

Chainsaw Art and Demonstrations

A special program highlight is the artistic chainsaw carving demonstrations. Skilled wood artists transform tree trunks into sculptures, animals, or ornamental objects before the eyes of the audience. These performances attract an enthusiastic audience every year.
