Rhodt unter Rietburg — one of the most beautiful Palatinate wine villages

Rhodt unter Rietburg is a Palatinate wine village with about 1,100 inhabitants, located at the foot of the Palatinate Forest on a hill above the vineyards. Its historic center with half-timbered facades, the "Theresienstraße" (one of the most famous Palatinate half-timbered streets), and its elevated location are among the most photographed village scenes in the Palatinate. Rhodt has repeatedly been awarded "Most Beautiful Wine Village" and is a tourist brand in itself.

WeinTestival — Wine Tasting as a Festival

The WeinTestival is the wine focus of the event. The Rhodt wineries — known for excellent Rieslings, finely nuanced Pinot Blanc, and powerful Pinot Noir — open their courtyards and pour wine. The vineyard sites around Rhodt are particularly prestigious: "Schlossberg," "Rosengarten," "Klosterpfad" are sites that are highly regarded on Palatinate wine lists.

Art Festival in Parallel

Day Ticket €15, Weekend Ticket €25

The admission price is clearly structured. The day ticket costs €15, the weekend ticket €25 (significant savings when visiting both days of the festival). Admission is directly at the participating wineries and galleries — there is no single entrance ticket at the town entrance or a central point. This structure corresponds to the decentralized character of the festival. The tickets usually include a wine glass and tasting opportunities.

Fourth Weekend in April

The Rhodter Weinfrühling traditionally takes place on the fourth weekend in April — thus April 24th/25th/26th in 2026. This dating positions the festival in the Palatinate spring wine festival season after the almond blossom festivals and before the start of the main season in May/June. The combination of late spring warmth, the start of summer wine tastings, and the atmospheric backdrop of Rhodt makes the date attractive.
