About RheinVokal
The RheinVokal Festival has been a firm fixture in the classical music scene of the Middle Rhine for years. The festival utilizes the unique atmosphere of historical venues in the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley – castles, palaces, abbeys, and baroque churches – as settings for its high-quality program.
Concept
The focus is on vocal music in all its forms: oratorios, masses, song cycles, a cappella works, but also symphony concerts with vocal accompaniment. The musical spectrum ranges from medieval vocal polyphony through the Renaissance, Baroque, and Romantic periods to modern and avant-garde music.
Opening 2026 in Koblenz
The opening concert in 2026 will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 8 PM in the Rhein-Mosel-Halle Koblenz. The program features 'Mythenklänge' – works by Jean Sibelius and Gustav Mahler. The Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, one of Germany's most renowned orchestras, will perform.
