3rd Retro Fair in the Spaceflight Hall of Technik Museum Speyer — Comics, Figures, Models, Posters, and Rarities from 1950 to 2005, plus Gaming with Pinball Machines and Arcade Cabinets
The Retrobörse is a young but rapidly growing collector's fair format at Technik Museum Speyer. The 3rd edition in 2026 demonstrates that the concept — a collector's fair in one of Germany's most spectacular museum halls — is resonating. The museum's Spaceflight Hall houses originals such as the Buran space shuttle, the Salyut modules, and numerous other exhibits from international space history.
The offerings focus on pop culture collectibles from the years 1950 to 2005. Comic dealers will present superhero series (Marvel, DC), funny series (Disney, Asterix), mangas, and German comic classics (Mosaik). Figure specialists will showcase action figures from the 70s, 80s, and 90s — Star Wars Vintage, He-Man, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Playmobil collectibles. Model cars and planes, film posters, vinyl records, magazines, and rare books will complement the selection.
A dedicated gaming area adds an interactive component to the event. Playable pinball machines from various decades, classic arcade cabinets (Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Space Invaders), and video game consoles will be available for visitors. It's not just a market — it's also a playground for adults and families.
The accompanying program will feature presentations on specific collector's themes — the history of a comic publisher, the value of figures, or the restoration of pinball machines. Small auctions for special items will round off the program. Cosplayers are welcome and receive discounted admission.
What sets this collector's fair apart from others is the backdrop: while visitors browse comics and examine figures, they'll see the Buran space shuttle or modules from the Mir space station in the background. The combination of pop culture nostalgia and real space history is a unique selling point of the Speyer format.
The 3rd edition in 2026 will run on the fourth weekend of January in the museum's Spaceflight Hall. Over two days, collector dealers will present their wares, while the gaming area with playable pinball machines and arcade cabinets runs concurrently.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in advance. The structure will follow the proven key points of previous years.
