Rehau City Festival — When the City Center Becomes a Stage
With the City Festival, Rehau puts on a program every two years that takes over the entire city center. An industrial city in the Hof district, located on the Selb-Rehauer Forst and just a few kilometers from the Czech Republic — a location that makes Rehau a crossroads and the City Festival more than just a local event.
Rehau in the Hof District — Industry, Forest, and Czech Border
Rehau is a city with around 10,000 inhabitants in the Hof district in the state of Bavaria. Known primarily as the headquarters of the globally active REHAU Industries SE and several other medium-sized industrial companies (LAMILUX, SÜDLEDER), the City Festival benefits from strong private sector sponsorship — without these major companies, a program of this magnitude would be difficult to realize.
Two Stages, One Weekend
The concept for the 2026 event focuses on two spatially separated stages with different profiles:
- Main Stage at Maxplatz (Sponsor: REHAU) — daytime program, local performances (Musikverein Rehau, kindergartens, TV Rehau, Stadtkapelle Oelsnitz), top acts in the evening, and a late-night DJ set
- Wallgarten Stage (Sponsor: SÜDLEDER) — bands like "Bogeymen", "L I N D A", and "dreiRaum" all day, beer garden atmosphere, possibly live broadcast of the Football World Cup
Families in Focus
The Children's Play Paradise at Maxplatz (Sponsor: LAMILUX) offers free admission from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The program includes: giant slide, curiosity express with technical stations, treasure hunt in the sandbox, and a football dart wall. This clearly positions the City Festival as a family-friendly event — unlike a traditional Volksfest.
Clubs, Business, and Crafts
Around 80 exhibitors, clubs, industrial companies, and catering stands jointly shape the festival area. Industry, crafts, trade, and club life present themselves side-by-side — exactly the concept of the motto "Rehau erleben".
Highlight 2026: "The Magic of Queen Classic"
The Saturday evening at Maxplatz will feature the rock classic show "The Magic of Queen Classic": a rock band combined with a classical string orchestra, bringing the Queen repertoire to life in a symphonic format. This will be followed by a late-night set with DJ George Cooper.
Stadtfest Rehau — edition 2026
The 2026 program has been confirmed on the official website of the City of Rehau. The organizer is the City of Rehau (Event Manager Alexander Prechtl). Main sponsors: REHAU, LAMILUX, and SÜDLEDER; further supporters: Willy Böhme, Munzert GmbH, VR Bank, Veolia Wasser. Around 80 exhibitors, clubs, and catering stands are confirmed.
The final hourly schedule of the individual bands and stage times will be updated in the weeks before the festival on rehau.bayern.

Getting There
Rehau is located on the B 173 and is accessible via the A 93 (Rehau-Süd exit). By train to Rehau (Hof – Selb-Plößberg line). Parking spaces are signposted in the town.
Admission
Admission to the entire festival area is free (including the "The Magic of Queen Classic" concert on Saturday evening). Food and drinks are paid for on site.
Families
Children's Play Paradise at Maxplatz is free (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.). Suitable for all age groups.
