Six carnival parades in four days — Brauweiler, Stommeln, Dansweiler, Geyen/Sinthern, Sinnersdorf, and Pulheim-Stadtmitte
The Pulheim Carnival Parades are a unique constellation in Rhenish carnival: six independent carnival parades within four days in the six major districts of the town of Pulheim. From Carnival Saturday, February 14, 2026, to Maundy Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at least one parade marches through a different district each day. The events are organized by local carnival societies, coordinated by the town of Pulheim.
The parade dates follow a sequence that has grown over decades — each carnival society has its fixed slot:
Each Pulheim district parade has its own character:
During all six parades, extended traffic closures will be in effect along the respective parade routes, as well as additional parking prohibitions. The town of Pulheim recommends informing yourself in advance about the specific routes — the routes may vary slightly from year to year. Residents are particularly affected and should move their cars in time.
Pulheim is a town with around 56,000 inhabitants in the Rhein-Erft district (North Rhine-Westphalia), located directly northwest of Cologne and part of the Cologne commuter belt. The town is composed of 12 districts, of which the six largest each maintain their own carnival parade — a characteristic that makes Pulheim unique in Rhenish carnival. The intense carnival character reflects the Rhenish-Catholic tradition of the region and is the occasion for one of the densest carnival weekends in the commuter belt of the carnival capital, Cologne.
The 2026 carnival season in Pulheim follows the sequence of the six district parades that has evolved over decades:

Pulheim and its districts are accessible via public transport lines 961 and 963, as well as the S-Bahn line S6 (Cologne–Pulheim). By car: A1 exit Pulheim or A57 exit Köln-Worringen. Due to traffic closures, travel by public transport is strongly recommended.

Those who want to experience multiple district parades should plan carefully — the parades in Geyen/Sinthern and Sinnersdorf on Rose Monday (1:00 PM and 2:00 PM) can only be connected on foot or by car between the districts. The final parade by KG Ahl Häre in Pulheim-Stadtmitte on Maundy Tuesday (1:30 PM) is the most popular.
