Prümer Sommer 2026

The Prümer Sommer is the major city summer festival of the Eifel town of Prüm in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm. For several weeks, the town center of Prüm – especially the Prümer-Sommer-Platz – transforms into an open-air stage with concerts, markets, and social gatherings. The concept combines a grand opening weekend with a weekly concert series on Thursday evenings in midsummer.

Opening Sunday, June 28, 2026

In 2026, the opening will be on Sunday, June 28, with a very packed program:

• Flea Market: In the town center – traders, stalls, gastronomy.
• Antiques and Flea Market: Antiques, bric-a-brac, and collector's items.
• Stage: Dance and music program with regional groups.
• Classic Car Meeting: Vintage vehicles with a subsequent parade through the town.
• Opening Concert: The Bitburg-Prüm Symphony Wind Orchestra will play the official opening concert of the season.

Thursday Concerts from 7:30 PM

Starting July 2, 2026, eight Thursday concerts will follow on the Prümer-Sommer-Platz, each starting at 7:30 PM:

Stylistic Diversity

The concert lineup covers a broad stylistic spectrum: pop covers, party formats, German-language cover bands, a Mallorca Party theme night, and various live formats. Thus, the Prümer Sommer appeals to a wide audience of all generations and makes every Thursday in summer a focal point for Prüm and its surroundings.

Town of Prüm and Eifel Tradition

Prüm, with its significant Salvator Basilica and former monastery, is the capital of the northern Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm. Alongside the Salvator-Kirmes in August and the horse market in spring and autumn, the Prümer Sommer is the most important event of the year for the town and shapes the summer lifestyle of the region. Admission is free throughout – a deliberately low-threshold offer.
