Sociable Pentecost weekend on the Moselle riverbank
The Pfingstfest in Bremm follows the tradition of village folk festivals (Volksfeste) that mark the beginning of the festival season in many Moselle communities. While the major wine festivals don't take place until mid and late summer, the Pfingstfest offers the first sociable highlight of the year with an uncomplicated program.
The festival grounds directly on the Moselle riverbank offer one of the most beautiful festival settings in the Untermosel region. With a view of the Moselle and the striking silhouette of the Calmont on the opposite side of the valley, the scenery combines natural beauty and a convivial atmosphere. Beer stands, food stalls with typical Moselle specialties such as Schwenkbraten (grilled pork neck), Bratwurst, and fries, as well as small stands with ice cream, sweets, and cocktails ensure ample offerings.
Musically, the festival focuses on a mix of mood and dance music. On Saturday evening, a cover band or a regional dance band traditionally performs, while Sunday at Pentecost often features a "Frühschoppen" (morning pint) with brass music. Families will find play areas for children at the festival grounds and can stroll along the Moselle riverbank or take a short boat trip.
The Pfingstfest is also an important meeting point for hikers on the Moselsteig trail, which passes directly through Bremm. Those who use the long weekend for a stage hike will find a welcome opportunity for an evening gathering in good company.
The Pfingstfest 2026 in Bremm will take place on Saturday, May 23, and Pentecost Sunday, May 24. The festival grounds will open on Saturday afternoon, with the main activities and live music on Saturday evening. On Pentecost Sunday, a "Frühschoppen" with brass music will be the focus from late morning, and the festival will extend into a relaxed family afternoon with a closing in the evening.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the festival committee in the spring. The structure will follow the proven cornerstones of previous years:
