Medieval Market and Concert Arena with Feuerschwanz, Schandmaul, D'Artagnan, and Corvus Corax in the Castle Park
The Pfingst-Spectaculum & Historical Knights Festival in Oranienburg Castle Park is one of Brandenburg's largest medieval festivals. In 2026, the festival celebrates its 16th edition — from Saturday, May 23rd to Whit Monday, May 25th, 2026, the historic castle park will be transformed into a living medieval camp. The organizer is the established medieval agency Carnica Spectaculi.
One of the special features in 2026 is the new Concert Arena directly on the market grounds. Some of the biggest names in the German-speaking medieval rock scene will perform on two separate concert evenings:
Tickets for the concert arena can be purchased separately through Carnica and Eventim.
Around 50 traders and craftspeople will offer historical goods on the market grounds: blacksmith items, leather goods, mead and wine, medieval clothing, bows and arrows. The tournament field is located in the center of the park, where "Midgards Feuerbund" performs with man-to-man duels and horseback knight fights. For children, there are activities such as axe throwing, archery, and child-friendly interactive stages. Acrobatics and fire shows by "Die Flugträumer" complete the program.
Oranienburg Castle is one of the oldest Baroque castles in the Mark Brandenburg, built from 1651 for Elector Princess Louise Henriette of Oranien-Nassau (sister of the later Dutch Stadtholder William III). The associated castle park with its Baroque layout, vast lawns, and old trees provides the perfect backdrop for a medieval festival. Oranienburg itself, with around 47,000 inhabitants, is the district town of Oberhavel, located 35 km north of Berlin and directly accessible via the S1 suburban train line.
The 16th Pfingst-Spectaculum 2026 in Oranienburg Castle Park is a three-day medieval spectacle with two distinct program strands: the classic medieval market with a stage and tournament, and the new concert arena.
On the market, "Midgards Feuerbund" will present knight fights and man-to-man duels, "Die Flugträumer" will perform acrobatics and fire shows, around 50 traders and craftspeople will offer historical goods, and medieval taverns will serve mead. For children, axe throwing and archery are available.
The Concert Arena brings together some of the biggest names in the German-speaking medieval rock scene: Feuerschwanz, Schandmaul, D'Artagnan, Corvus Corax, and Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen. Concert tickets are available separately via Eventim and Carnica.
