Horse Fair with Experiential Character
For generations, Hannover has been one of Germany's most important cities for horses. The Hannoverian horse, one of the world's most successful sport horse breeds, is at home here; the Lower Saxony State Stud tradition and the Hannoverian breeding based in Verden shape the regional horse culture. PASSION PFERD bundles this tradition into a four-day trade fair with a significant experiential component.

Over 550 exhibitors from Germany and abroad present their products and services. The range includes:

Show Arena
A central show arena forms the pulsating heart of the fair. During the day, daily shows with various themes take place: dressage, show jumping, Western, equestrian acrobatics, horse breed presentations, comedy with horses. The shows are elaborately staged and aim to entertain an audience beyond pure expert knowledge.
Gala Night of the Horses
The highlight of the fair is the Gala Night of the Horses. On selected evenings, a two- to three-hour evening gala presents the best international show acts: liberty dressage, haute école, acrobatic horse riders, choreographed show scenes. The gala is accompanied by sophisticated lighting technology and live music and is considered a top-tier event in the German horse show scene.
MiMaMo Horse-Kids-Pony Show
For the youngest visitors, there is a dedicated show: the MiMaMo Horse-Kids-Pony Show. It combines pony performances, child-friendly demonstrations, and interactive elements, and is aimed at families with preschool and primary school children.
Passion Pferd — edition 2026
As in previous years, PASSION PFERD is designed as a combination of a trade fair and an experiential event. In the mornings and early afternoons, the trade fair operations with exhibitors and trade visitors dominate, while in the afternoons and evenings, the show formats take center stage.
The Gala Night of the Horses is usually performed on one or two evenings during the fair. The exact dates, show acts, and tickets will be communicated by the organizer in good time.
