About Parkfest Adldorf

The Parkfest Adldorf is one of the most traditional Volksfests in the Lower Bavarian Vilstal. For five days, the festival meadow between Adldorf Castle and the Eichendorf outdoor pool on the Vils transforms into a classic Bavarian Volksfest: a festival tent with beer from the Gräflicher Brauerei Arco Valley, brass bands, party bands, a traditional costume parade, and a children's and seniors' afternoon. The market town of Eichendorf, together with the traditional castle brewery, is the organizer. Date: traditionally the third weekend in July.

The Parkfest Adldorf 2026 will take place from Friday, July 17th to Tuesday, July 21st, on the festival meadow between Adldorf and Eichendorf. Castle Park, Brewery, and Vils — the Adldorf Festival Meadow

Adldorf is a district of the market town of Eichendorf in the Dingolfing-Landau district (Bavaria). The festival meadow is picturesquely located between the historic Adldorf Castle — seat of the Counts Arco-Valley — and the Eichendorf outdoor pool, directly on the banks of the Vils. A backdrop that clearly distinguishes the Parkfest from most other Lower Bavarian Volksfests.

The Gräflicher Brauerei Arco Valley

The Adldorf Castle Brewery of the Counts Arco-Valley is one of the most traditional breweries in Lower Bavaria, with roots dating back to the 17th century. It supplies the festival beer for the Parkfest and thus shapes the entire character of the festival — local beer, regional catering, no industrial mass Volksfest business.

Location and Travel

Adldorf is located about 30 km east of Dingolfing and about 50 km west of Passau. The nearest train connection is Dingolfing (Landshut-Passau line), from where Adldorf can be reached in 30 minutes by car or bus. Cyclists can follow the Vils cycle path upstream.
