For years, the Open Cellar Day has followed a clear principle: on a spring day, the wineries of the Ahr open their cellars, courtyards, and wine shops to the public. Guests can move independently from winery to winery, talk to the winegrowers, get a glimpse into production, and taste the current vintages. The event has been a central date for wine enthusiasts from the Rhineland for years.

AhrWine Tasting as an Evening Event

The Open Cellar Day in Ahrweiler is complemented by the AhrWine Tasting on the eve. On Friday, April 10, 2026, the tasting takes place from 6 PM to 9 PM and allows for a concentrated tasting of the current vintages. Unlike Saturday, the focus here is on in-depth experience: smaller groups, curated selection, and detailed guidance from the winegrowers.
