23 Years of Esens Oldtimer Tradition
In 2026, the Oldtimer Meeting Esens looks back on its 23rd edition, making it one of the established autumn events in the East Frisian town. On Sunday, October 11th, 2026, from 12 PM to 5 PM, the Esens town center will transform into an open-air exhibition space for historic vehicles.
Exhibition of Historic Vehicles and Machines
Vehicles from several decades will be on display in the exhibition area:
- Historic Automobiles – from pre-war cars and 1950s classics to youngtimers
- Motorcycles – classics from German and international brands
- Tractors – agricultural machines from various eras
- Agricultural Machinery – historic equipment documenting the agricultural history of East Frisia
- Special Vehicles – fire engines, military vehicles, special editions
Sunday Shopping in the Town Center
A clever program combination: The Oldtimer Meeting takes place on a Sunday shopping day. The shops in the Esens town center will be open, allowing residents and day visitors to combine the meeting with Sunday shopping. This combination is attractive for visitors and a welcome sales opportunity for local businesses.
Nostalgia and Encounters
The Oldtimer Meeting is more than just a vehicle exhibition. It is also a meeting point – for vehicle owners to exchange experiences, for enthusiasts who know every model, and for nostalgics who rediscover phases of their own lives in the exhibited vehicles. The atmosphere is relaxed, with fluid conversations between exhibitors and visitors.
Organizer AEU Esens
The organizer is AEU Esens (Allgemeine Einkaufs- und Werbegemeinschaft). The combination with the Sunday shopping event aligns with AEU's mission to liven up the town center with events.
A Family Afternoon
With free admission, a manageable event duration of five hours, and the combination of a vehicle show and shopping, the Oldtimer Meeting is an ideal family afternoon in autumn. Those visiting Esens on October 11th should plan their travel accordingly.
