The Oldenburg Sports Summer of Clubs is one of the most important showcases for Oldenburg's club sports. What began in 2022 has established itself as a fixture in the city's sports calendar within a few years. With its 5th edition in 2026, the event reaches another important milestone.
21 Sports Clubs
21 Oldenburg sports clubs will be represented in 2026. They come from all sports and structures – from large multi-sport clubs to small specialized clubs. The range extends from classic team sports, martial arts, dance, gymnastics, and water sports to trend sports.
Hands-on Program
The focus is on participation. Instead of just showing demonstrations, the clubs invite visitors of all ages to get active themselves. Trying things out, getting to know a sport, asking questions – that's the concept.
Stage Shows
On a dedicated stage, clubs present their performance formats – dance groups show choreographies, martial artists perform sparring matches, gymnasts present acrobatics. The stage program provides structure and highlights for the day.
Welcome by Mayor Krogmann at 11 a.m.
At 11 a.m., Oldenburg's Mayor Jürgen Krogmann will welcome visitors and officially open the Sports Summer. The city thus emphasizes the importance of club sports for the urban community.
Schlossplatz as a Sports Arena
Schlossplatz, with its club stands, a stage, and activity areas, becomes an open sports arena. Its central location ensures high footfall; many visitors come intentionally, while others stumble upon the event while strolling through the city center.

As with most events of this kind, admission is free.
