Nordenham on Ice — Ice, Mulled Wine, and Christmas Market Under the Open Sky

Nordenham on Ice is the main winter attraction in Nordenham's city center. On an approximately 300 m² outdoor ice rink directly on the market square, families, school classes, friends, and ice hockey fans can skate for over five weeks. Surrounding it, an atmospheric Christmas market with mulled wine, crêpes, bratwurst, a carousel for the little ones, and festive lighting is set up.

Ice Rink and Christmas Market in One

The concept combines two classic winter offerings into one experience: ice skating and Advent season atmosphere. The ice rink is weather-independent, easily withstanding even mild winter days. Huts at the edge of the ice rink serve mulled wine, hot chocolate, crêpes, bratwurst, and winter specialties. Wooden stalls with fairy lights, fir branches, and festive decorations create a dense Advent ambiance.

Family Day on Wednesday

Wednesday is Family Day: Discounted rates for families make the mid-week date a must-do for parents and children from the Wesermarsch region. The carousel in the market square complements the ice skating, ensuring even the youngest have fun.

Opening Hours and Prices

The ice rink is open Wednesday and Thursday from 2 PM to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday from 2 PM to 11 PM, Sunday from 12 PM to 10 PM. Admission to the ice rink: €3. Rental skates: €3. Admission to the Christmas market is free; food, drinks, and carousel rides are paid for on-site.

Five Weeks of Winter Atmosphere

With a duration from November 26 to December 30, 2026, Nordenham on Ice offers an exceptionally long Advent season. The event has been one of the most visited winter attractions in the Wesermarsch district for years, drawing guests from Brake, Butjadingen, Stadland, and beyond.
