Inclusive spring festival in the large garden of the Georg-Jungmann-Haus in Neustadt an der Weinstraße
Lebenshilfe Neustadt an der Weinstraße supports people with intellectual disabilities throughout their lives: from early intervention and school education to vocational training and leisure activities. The Georg-Jungmann-Haus is one of the central locations, housing residential groups as well as administrative and meeting rooms. The extensive garden serves as the venue for the spring festival once a year.
The spring festival is deliberately designed to be accessible. There is no admission fee, no reserved seating, no tightly scheduled stage choreography — instead, there are standing tables, a small stage, coffee and cake stands, bratwurst, children's drinks, and a varied program of music, dance, and short speeches. Residents from the living groups perform together with volunteers, regional bands play pro bono, and children can craft, get their faces painted, or play in the garden.
The proceeds from the sale of food, drinks, and crafts go directly to the work of Lebenshilfe Neustadt — for example, for leisure trips, assistive devices, or the modernization of living spaces. Those who visit the festival thus support concrete local projects.
The festival is particularly suitable for families with small children and for anyone who wants to experience a relaxed spring afternoon in a green setting — without the pressure of admission fees, without hustle and bustle, with the opportunity to engage in conversation.
Like in previous years, the 2026 Spring Festival is a fixed date in the annual calendar of Lebenshilfe Neustadt. In spring-like weather, the garden of the Georg-Jungmann-Haus transforms into a colorful festival meadow with marquees, tables, a small stage, and play areas for children.
The program will be published by the organizer in the weeks leading up to the event on Lebenshilfe Neustadt's channels and on the Neustadt an der Weinstraße city portal.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in spring 2026. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
