One-day city festival in Neu-Ulm's city center
The Neu-Ulm City Festival takes over the central squares and streets of the city center: Rathausplatz (main stage), Augsburger Straße (gastronomy axis), Petrusplatz, and Johannesplatz (second stages). The organizer is the City of Neu-Ulm in cooperation with local clubs and restaurateurs. The official opening will be performed by Lord Mayor Katrin Albsteiger on the main stage at Rathausplatz.
The day starts at 11 AM with a traditional Bavarian breakfast (Weißwurstfrühstück) and music from the Neu-Ulm City Band; in the morning, the Reutti Rifle Band also performs. Between 11 AM and 6 PM, the children's program with interactive and play stations runs along Augsburger Straße. In the evening, the festival switches to stage format: from 6:30 PM, the party band Sounds of Entertainment plays on the main stage, while DJ acts and the NightLIVEBand take over at Petrusplatz and Johannesplatz. From 8 PM, star DJ Chris Montana spins.
Augsburger Straße and the area around the town hall become a gastronomy mile: clubs, breweries, and restaurants offer regional food and drinks. Augsburger Straße and Ludwigstraße are closed during the City Festival; the city recommends the underground parking garages Petrusplatz and Südstadtbogen for parking.
Neu-Ulm is the district capital of the Landkreis Neu-Ulm in Bavarian Swabia, directly opposite Ulm on the Bavarian-Baden-Württemberg Danube bank. The City Festival is one of the major early summer events of the twin city of Ulm/Neu-Ulm and is attended by the population from both sides of the Danube.
The 2026 edition is – as usual – a one-day city festival. It begins at 11 AM at Rathausplatz with the opening by Lord Mayor Katrin Albsteiger. The city center between Rathausplatz, Augsburger Straße, Petrusplatz, and Johannesplatz becomes a festival mile with several stages.
Throughout the day, live music, club catering, and the children's program run in parallel; in the evening, the festival transitions into dance stage and DJ formats. Free admission.
