One ticket — around 20 concerts and clubs in one night in Lüneburg's old town
For years, the Nacht der Musik has been one of the highlights of the Lüneburg event calendar. The concept is simple and has always been successful: On one Saturday in November, around two dozen gastronomic venues and concert halls in Lüneburg's city center open their doors, each with its own musical program. With a single festival ticket, guests move freely between the venues — from small jazz clubs to large halls, from student pubs to concert venues.
The musical offering of the Nacht der Musik is deliberately broad. Concerts include rock, pop, funk, soul, jazz, blues, classical, singer-songwriter, and world music. Local clubs such as Klippo, Anna & Arthur, Vamos!, or Kulturforum have long been regulars — joined by rotating bars, pubs, restaurants, and in some years, even sacred spaces. The programs of the individual venues are curated by Lüneburg Marketing GmbH in coordination with the operators, ensuring that every genre is adequately represented.
A joint festival ticket — worn as a wristband — grants access to all participating venues. This makes the Nacht der Musik a true exploration format: those who wish can experience ten different acts in one night, while others stay with their favorite band all evening. Between venues, the old town comes alive late into the night with the wandering audience. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the concert nights in German university towns — Lüneburg, with its Leuphana University, brings a particularly young, curious, and open-minded crowd to the streets.
Lüneburg Marketing GmbH coordinates the Nacht der Musik together with the participating venues. Tickets are available via the official website and at the Tourist-Info office at the Town Hall. Program updates are published in the weeks leading up to the event.
As in previous years, the Nacht der Musik 2026 will transform the entire city center into a vibrant concert mile. Starting in the early evening, the participating venues will fill up, and band changes will be staggered so that visitors can easily move between venues. The stages will remain active well past midnight. The selection of participating venues for 2026 is expected to include the established houses such as Klippo, Mälzer Brauhaus, Kulturforum, Capitol, Wabnitz Weinbar, Schröders Garten, and other partners, supplemented by rotating newcomer venues.
The detailed 2026 program — venues, bands, and set times — will be published by the organizer in the fall. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
