40th Musical Frühschoppen Vallstedt

Four Decades of Brass Music in the Village

What began in 1987 as a small initiative by the local music corps has become a firm institution: the Musikalische Frühschoppen Vallstedt attracts guests from the entire region to Vechelde-Vallstedt every year. The 40th edition on June 7, 2026, is therefore a double occasion for celebration – tradition meets anniversary.

The Concept

The Frühschoppen follows a simple but proven idea: Sunday morning, sunshine (ideally), beer benches, sausages, pretzels – and above all: music. Friendly bands from the surrounding villages and towns perform on stage. From classical marches and Bohemian-Moravian polkas to modern arrangements and film music, everything is included. Between performances, musicians and the audience mingle at the bar – this is what makes this festival so special and heartfelt.

The Musikzug Vallstedt

The Musikzug Vallstedt sees itself as part of the vibrant club landscape of the municipality of Vechelde. With regular performances at Schützenfeste, Volkstrauertage, Erntedankfeste, and concerts, it musically accompanies the village year. The annual Frühschoppen is its most important own event and a flagship for volunteer engagement.

Vallstedt and Vechelde

Vallstedt is one of the twelve districts of the municipality of Vechelde in the Peine district. The village is conveniently located between Braunschweig and Peine and is accessible via regional roads and bus lines. The festival grounds in the village center offer outdoor seating and – depending on the weather – a covered festival tent.
