With Move & Groove, a new open-air format is launching in the Langenhagen region in 2026. Organizer Die Schlagerzentrale e.V. — an association dedicated to preserving Schlager music and cultural life — is creating a new festival location with Waldsee Krähenwinkel, promising an extraordinary experience both scenically and acoustically.

A Two-Part Concept

The concept of Move & Groove combines two locations and two musical worlds. The kickoff takes place from 4 PM in Kaltenweide — with 70s music, appealing to an older audience and evoking memories of the musical world of the late 60s and 70s. From 6 PM, the event moves to Waldsee Krähenwinkel, where a DJ program runs until midnight. This two-part dramaturgy connects generations and musical styles in a novel way.

The Lake as a Stage

Waldsee Krähenwinkel is a scenically attractive location on the outskirts of Langenhagen. Water, forest, and open meadow create an atmosphere that an urban festival cannot offer. At sunset over the lake, a special mood arises — perfect conditions for an open-air format that focuses on the summer evening. Organizers, artists, and the audience all benefit equally from this natural backdrop.

Free and Low-Threshold Admission

With free admission, Move & Groove consciously positions itself as low-threshold. Die Schlagerzentrale e.V. finances the festival through sponsors, its own revenue from catering, and contributions from members. This orientation makes the format an open neighborhood event that reaches a broad population — from the 60+ generation in the early evening to younger festival-goers late at night.
