About Montabaur Aktiv
„Montabaur Aktiv“ is one of Montabaur's most popular city festivals. For an entire weekend, the city center transforms into a large showcase for sports, exercise, leisure, health, nutrition, and club life. Numerous exhibitors, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and workshops make the festival a magnet for families and sports enthusiasts from the entire Westerwald region.
In 2026, Montabaur Aktiv will open its doors on the weekend of May 16th – 17th. Saturday from 12 PM to 6 PM, Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM. On Sunday, the open shops in the city center will also invite you for a stroll – the Sunday shopping completes the family program.

Getting There
By car via the A3 (Montabaur exit). ICE train station Montabaur on the outskirts (Cologne-Frankfurt high-speed line). Parking is recommended on the outskirts – the city center has restricted vehicle access during the festival.
Tips
Bring sportswear for the hands-on activities. Families can fill the entire day with activities. On Sunday, take advantage of the Sunday shopping for a stroll through the city center.
