Mörzheimer Weinkerwe

Mörzheim District

Mörzheim is one of Landau's eight city districts and is one of the smaller wine-growing villages on the outskirts of the city. With its village character, its location between vineyards and forest, and its manageable size, the Mörzheimer Weinkerwe is considered a particularly cozy version of Landau's district festival season.

Festival Grounds

The festival takes place at two connected locations. The historic courtyard of Weingut Wambsganß forms one center, and Pirates Bar on the Kerweplatz at the sports field forms the other. The short distances between the two locations make it easy to stroll between wine tasting and the Kerwe atmosphere.

Opening on Friday

On Friday at 7 PM, representatives of the city of Landau and the Mörzheim clubs will jointly open the Kerwe. With a keg tapping ceremony, welcoming remarks, and musical accompaniment, the first day of the festival begins.

Four Festival Days

Throughout the weekend, the program includes wine service, Palatinate specialties, live music, and activities organized by the local clubs. Sunday traditionally features a Frühschoppen (morning pint), and Monday offers a relaxed conclusion.

Part of the Festival Summer

The Mörzheimer Weinkerwe falls within a busy festival season: it immediately follows the Landauer Sommer and runs parallel to the Flammkuchenfest in Mörlheim. Those who visit the city districts can experience different Kerwen on consecutive weekends.
