Over three-hour special show with fan-voted setlist at the Loreley Open-Air Theatre
Michael Patrick Kelly, born in Dublin in 1977, is one of the internationally best-known members of the Kelly Family. After years of intensive family career, he withdrew in the early 2000s and lived for a time as a monk before intensively expanding his solo career. With albums such as “Human” (2010), “iD” (2017), “B.O.A.T.S.” (2020), and “The Shepherd” (2023), he has established himself as a solo artist with a clear signature — Pop-Folk sung multilingually with spiritual undertones.
For several years, Kelly has been a regular guest at the Loreley Open-Air Theatre, one of Germany's most iconic open-air venues. In 2026, he is planning a Special Show whose concept clearly deviates from standard concerts: The setlist will be co-determined by fan voting, allowing fans to prioritize their favorite songs from the entire Kelly repertoire (solo as well as selected Kelly Family classics) via digital channels. This creates a unique concert tailored to the needs of his followers.
The show is planned for over three hours — an unusual format for pop concerts, more reminiscent of large-scale classic singer-songwriter events or Bruce Springsteen shows. Several Special Guests are announced; the names will be published by the organizer closer to the date. This makes the concert a true live event beyond the standard tour.
The Loreley Open-Air Theatre offers around 5,000 seats and 10,000 to 12,000 standing places. Its location on the plateau of the famous Loreley rock — UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley — is one of Europe's most iconic concert backdrops. In clear weather, the sunset over the Rhine merges with the stage's light effects to create an atmosphere that cannot be replicated in ordinary halls.
The 2026 concert is conceptually designed as an interactive experience. Fans will have a say in the setlist — a form of concert democratization rarely practiced on this scale.
The exact program for 2026 (setlist after voting closes, special guests, show flow) will be published by the artist's team and organizer. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of similar Loreley concerts: admission in the late afternoon, main concert from nightfall, duration over three hours including encores.
Solo concert with own band, special guests, elaborate light show, and video wall. The Loreley Open-Air Theatre allows for large-scale productions.
