Indoor Metal Festival right on the Baltic Sea beach — November highlight on the Hohwacht Bay
Metal Hammer Paradise is one of Germany's most unusual Metal festivals. Instead of being held outdoors on a festival meadow, it takes place indoors at the Beachhotel Weissenhäuser Strand — right on the Baltic Sea, in the seaside resort of Schashagen in the Ostholstein district. Festival passes and hotel stays are sold as a package, allowing visitors to head to the beach, sauna, or restaurant between concerts.
Several bands have already been officially announced for the 2026 edition — advance sales are ongoing. Confirmed acts include:
A total of over 15 bands are on the program. More acts will be announced successively throughout the summer of 2026.
The festival is produced by FKP Scorpio, one of Northern Germany's most important concert promoters (also behind Hurricane and Southside Festival). Media partners are ARTE and the Hamburg-based radio station BOB. Behind the scenes is the magazine Metal Hammer, which gives the festival its name.
The Beachhotel Weissenhäuser Strand is located between Heiligenhafen and Hohwacht in one of the most beautiful bays on the Baltic Sea coast. Sandy beach, dunes, mixed forest — and a large beach hotel resort whose event spaces become concert stages on the two festival days. The combination of beach hotel plus Metal has quickly earned the festival cult status. The aftermovie of the 2025 edition is available on the festival website.
The 2026 edition is officially announced for November 27 and 28, 2026. Advance sales are ongoing (as of May 2026). Tickets are available as festival-only passes or as a combined package with a hotel stay at the Beachhotel Weissenhäuser Strand.
There will be a supporting program with a merchandise area, meet-and-greets with bands, and activities at the Beachhotel.

Weissenhäuser Strand is located in the Ostholstein district, approx. 35 km east of Lübeck. By car via the A1 and L57 / L309. Nearest train stations: Oldenburg in Holstein or Heiligenhafen, from where you can take a bus or shuttle.
Festival passes are sold with or without a hotel stay. Advance sales for 2026 are ongoing at metal-hammer-paradise.de.
