A Night That Transports You Back to 2003

2000s nostalgia has become its own festival genre — sold-out Y2K parties are happening from Berlin to Cologne, where an audience between 35 and 45 celebrates the hits of their youth. The MEGA 2000s Live Open Air is the Berlin open-air version: no club, no DJ set alone, but a proper stage with live acts from the original artists.

Arena Gärten der Welt — The Spectacular Venue

The Arena Gärten der Welt is the largest open-air stage in East Berlin — nestled within the Gärten der Welt recreational park in the Marzahn district (Marzahn-Hellersdorf borough), with full seating, professional stage technology, and a capacity of up to 4,000 seats. The park itself is considered one of Berlin's most beautiful: 16 themed gardens from around the world — Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden, Balinese Garden, Renaissance Garden — are located around it. A walk in the park is possible before or after the concert (requires park admission).

Line-up 2026 — Stars of the Early 2000s

Confirmed for July 18, 2026: Dante Thomas, the American R&B singer whose "Miss California" (2001) became an international summer hit. DJ Antoine, the Swiss DJ and producer, known for "Welcome to St. Tropez" and "Bella Vita". "&more Acts coming soon" according to HB Music — further confirmations are expected in the months leading up to the event. Early announcements also mentioned the band Blue (UK boyband, "All Rise") as a potential act.

Marzahn — From Post-War Housing Myth to Cultural Insider Tip

Marzahn has experienced a cultural upswing in the last 15 years, with the Gärten der Welt at its center — equipped with a cable car, tropical hall, and the open-air arena since the International Garden Exhibition 2017. Visitors to the MEGA Open Air often combine it with a cable car ride from Kienberg across the park and a picnic on the park lawn before the concert.
