Meckelfeld is one of the most populous districts of the municipality of Seevetal and is located directly on the border with Hamburg. The village festival builds on the history of the formerly independent village and has been held on the last weekend of August for decades. With its 41st edition, the festival looks back on a continuous history that has made it one of the best-known village festivals in the Hamburg metropolitan area.

Three Days: Village Center as a Festival Mile

The village center of Meckelfeld serves as the festival grounds. Stages, catering stands, and amusement rides are set up on the central streets, squares, and club facilities. The entire village center is made traffic-calmed and transformed into a festival zone where visitors can stroll from stand to stand. This district-wide activation makes the festival an experience that goes far beyond classic festival site formats.
