The Marktheidenfeld Old Town Festival is one of Lower Franconia's popular summer festivals. The town of Marktheidenfeld is picturesquely situated on the Main in the Main-Spessart district, at the gateway to the Spessart. Once a year, the historic old town with its alleys and squares transforms into a lively festival mile with several open-air stages.
The musical heart of the festival is formed by numerous live acts and bands performing on the various stages in the town center. Festival operations with food and drinks start in the late afternoon, and in the evening, live music and DJs create a lively atmosphere on the different squares until late into the night. Restaurants and clubs in the town participate with a wide range of culinary offerings.
The Old Town Festival is part of a rich event calendar in Marktheidenfeld, which also includes the "Music After Work" series with live artists in the heart of the old town and the traditional Laurenzi Fair on the banks of the Main. The town thus cultivates a vibrant culture and festival tradition.

Numerous live acts will perform on the open-air stages in the town center. The Old Town Festival coincides with the start of the "Music After Work" series, making the historic Main backdrop a convivial meeting point for the region.
Friday, May 8: Festival operations begin in the late afternoon, live music and DJs on the open-air stages of the old town.
Saturday, May 9: Continuation of the town festival with live bands, culinary delights, and evening live music on various squares.
Admission to the Old Town Festival is free. Costs are only incurred for food and drinks at the stalls of restaurants and clubs.
Marktheidenfeld is located on the A3 motorway (Marktheidenfeld exit) between Würzburg and Aschaffenburg. The town center is easily accessible on foot; parking is available on the outskirts for those arriving by car.

Festival operations usually start from 5 PM, with live music in the evening.
