A 100-year tradition
The Mannheimer Maimarkt is Germany's largest regional trade fair and one of Europe's oldest continuously existing consumer fairs. Organized by MAG Mannheimer Ausstellungs-GmbH, the fair takes place annually between the end of April and the beginning of May — exactly 11 days. More than 350,000 visitors come every year, and over 1,000 exhibitors showcase their products on a total area of around 100,000 m².
From home builders to classic car collectors
The industry spectrum is impressively broad: home building, garden and landscaping, living and furnishing, wellness and health, fashion, jewelry, pet food and veterinary supplies, automotive and mobility, agricultural machinery, construction, energy, heating, solar. Special focuses for 2026: Fossil special exhibition, Classic car special exhibition, oriental carpets. The mix of B2C consumer fair and B2B industrial dialogue is the hallmark of the Maimarkt.
Equestrian tournament and animal show
A special feature of the Mannheimer Maimarkt is the international equestrian tournament, which takes place parallel to the fair on the Maimarkt grounds. Dressage, show jumping, eventing — top riders from Germany and Europe compete. In addition, the animal show features cattle, pig, and sheep breeds, and the poultry show displays chickens, ducks, and geese — a remarkable encounter with living agriculture in the middle of the big city of Mannheim.
Mannheim — City of Squares on the Rhine
Mannheim, with almost 320,000 inhabitants, is the third-largest city in Baden-Württemberg after Stuttgart and Karlsruhe and is located at the confluence of the Rhine and Neckar rivers. Famous for its rectangular grid structure in the city center, the Palace (second-largest Baroque palace in Germany), the Water Tower, and the SAP Arena. You can reach the city directly via ICE from Frankfurt–Heidelberg–Mannheim; the Maimarkt grounds are located northeast of the city center and are connected by tram and bus.
