The Lüttje Winterzauber is dedicated to families and children on Borkum during the pre-Christmas season. Instead of a classic Advent market with a sales focus, the format centers on activities for children and shared experiences. The event is organized by Nordseeheilbad Borkum as the central island organizer.

Children's Program and Activities

The program includes the Low German Börkumer Kinnertune, puppet shows, small biathlon stations, a participatory circus, and of course, visits from Santa Claus. This mix makes the Lüttje Winterzauber a particularly child-friendly Advent format, where readings, stage performances, and hands-on activities interweave.

Musical Setting

Musically, the Borkum traditional costume group, local choirs, and the fire brigade band contribute to the program. They provide the musical atmosphere between individual program items and give island guests a sense of Borkum's maritime tradition during Advent.

The Lüttje Winterzauber complements the island's offerings alongside the Lüttje Markt between the years. While the market at New Year's focuses on adults and Christmas market atmosphere, the Lüttje Winterzauber explicitly caters to the family audience with children during the actual Advent season.
