Seven museums, free shuttle — Saturday, February 21, 2026, 5 PM to 11 PM
The Long Night of Museums Lüneburg is the annual highlight of Lüneburg's museum scene. On Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 5 PM to 11 PM, seven of the city's most important museums open their doors for a comprehensive experience. One ticket grants access to Lüneburg's history, art, and science.
To ensure swift travel between museums, a free shuttle bus regularly connects the venues. This makes even more distant locations like Lüne Monastery easily accessible.
The museums offer special programs: guided tours, readings, concerts, hands-on activities, snacks, and drinks. The exact program for each venue will be published in February 2026. The Long Night is also an opportunity to see new exhibitions and get an overview of the Hanseatic city's museum landscape.
The Hanseatic city of Lüneburg boasts one of the highest densities of museums in Northern Germany. The Long Night is an ideal opportunity to discover the city's cultural diversity — on a February night when museums become spaces for encounter.
Various museums in Lüneburg city center, 21335. By train: Lüneburg Station. By car: A 39 and A 250.
