Leinen los — The Baltic Sea Travel Festival

From July 10th to 12th, 2026, Andre Schumacher's Kunterbunthof at Dorfstraße 5, 23992 Bäbelin will be the venue for the ninth edition of the »Leinen los« travel and culture festival (Fernweh 9). Three festival days will bring together travel shows with world explorers and travel speakers, live concerts featuring jazz, blues, and flamenco, dance evenings in the estate's medieval vaulted cellar, and a culinary focus on Spanish wines, cocktails, and Nordic-Spanish cuisine. Two nights' accommodation (tent or campervan) and meals from Friday afternoon to Sunday noon are included.

Three Festival Days in Bäbelin

• Friday, July 10th, 2026 — Arrival from the afternoon, opening evening with welcome, first travel show, and opening concert
• Saturday, July 11th, 2026 — Full-day program with travel shows by world explorers, readings, interviews, jazz and flamenco concerts, dance evening in the vaulted cellar
• Sunday, July 12th, 2026 — Matinee with a travel show, breakfast, and concluding program until noon

Promoted shows include »Luigi muss nach Hause« by Gereon Roemer and »Verloren in Sibirien« by Richard Löwenherz, alongside yoga sessions, electronic music offerings, and Nordic cuisine. The final program schedule will be announced on the festival's website and via the Eventim event series.

Getting There

By car via the A20 (exit Kröpelin or Bad Doberan) towards Rerik. By train to Bad Doberan or Wismar, then continue by bus or taxi to Bäbelin.
