Festival Driven by the Association

The Laut & Lästig Open Air is a true grassroots event: organized by the association of the same name, financed by the City of Kamen and sponsors, supported by volunteers — and completely free for the audience. This very constellation has made the festival a firm part of Kamen's summer culture for years. Over 1,000 visitors typically come to the grounds of the Gesamtschule Kamen at Gutenbergstraße 2.

14 Bands, One Long Summer Evening

Punk, Rock, Indie, Crossover — the spectrum is broad, but the common denominator is clear: loud, honest, no frills. Between 1 PM (admission) and midnight, 14 acts will play through various stage slots. Headliner is Devil May Care, complemented by Cash for Trash, Flaschenbecher, Captain Horst, Joker's Kingdom, May The Force Be With You, and a long list of local and supra-regional bands.

Kamen in the Ruhr Area

With around 43,000 inhabitants, it is manageable but culturally active: alongside fun runs, city festivals, and local culture, it is events like the Laut & Lästig Open Air that shape the city's image. The festival has established itself as a permanent fixture in the regional music calendar in recent years.
