Studio Exhibition with Character

The Landgang Wendland takes place annually parallel to the Kulturelle Landpartie — and consciously sees itself as its concentrated counterpart. While the KLP offers a vast, diverse program with 78 'wonder points', Landgang invites you on a more focused journey: 20 artists will open their workshops and studios in 11 Wendland locations from May 14th to 20th, 2026.

The 11 Locations

Visitors can discover the studios in:

• Bussau
• Groß Wittfeitzen
• Gühlitz
• Hohenweddrien
• Hitzacker
• Kolborn
• Krummasel
• Küsten
• Maddau
• Neetzendorf

Each location is in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district and easily accessible by bike or car. The geographical proximity of the locations makes it possible to visit several workshops in one day.

Artists Up Close

The special appeal of Landgang lies in direct contact: visitors to a studio meet the artist at work, see works in progress, can ask questions, and purchase pieces directly. Represented are painting, sculpture, ceramics, textile art, jewelry, printmaking, and many other disciplines.

Complement to KLP

Because Landgang Wendland and Kulturelle Landpartie overlap, both festivals can be combined in one Wendland trip. Those who prefer a quieter and more concentrated experience will find their format in Landgang — a personal encounter with contemporary art in one of Germany's most beautiful rural cultural landscapes.
