Equestrian competition of the Hannover Equestrian Sport Association for young riders — September 26, 2026
The Hannover Equestrian Sport Association is one of the most important state associations in German equestrian sport, supporting riding clubs in large parts of Lower Saxony. Youth development is a central concern — after all, today's decisions shape who will influence the equestrian scene in twenty years. The annual State Youth Day is the most important platform for young people from riding clubs to meet, compete, and be supported by the association.
Adelheidsdorf in the Wathlingen municipality holds a central position in equestrian sport within the Celle district. Not far from the Hannoveraner capital Celle, with good accessibility and established equestrian facilities, the location is predestined for supra-regional equestrian events. The Moorbock race also takes place here — Adelheidsdorf has a strong tradition of sports and events.
The State Youth Day brings together young riders in several age groups and disciplines. The focus is on the competitions — from dressage and show jumping to skill-based events. In addition, workshops, lectures, and networking opportunities are offered, going beyond pure competition. The social dimension — friendships among young people, exchange between clubs, identification with equestrian sport — is equally important alongside the sporting program.
The Celle district is already a heavyweight in equestrian sport: the Celle State Stud, the cradle of the Hannoveraner breed, numerous breeding farms, and a dense network of clubs. The State Youth Day in Adelheidsdorf is another piece of the mosaic in this equestrian ecosystem, contributing to the development of the next generation of riders.
The detailed program will be published in advance by the Hannover Equestrian Sport Association. The structure follows the established key points of a State Youth Day:
Adelheidsdorf Riding Facility, Wathlingen Municipality, south of Celle. By car via the B 214. Parking in the designated equestrian sport parking areas.
Spectators generally free. Participant fees via the Hannover Equestrian Sport Association. Details available at landgestuetcelle.de and from the association.
For equestrian sport enthusiasts, the State Youth Day offers a great insight into Lower Saxony's young equestrian talent and tomorrow's stars.
