Free & Open Air Festival with two stages at the Lahnstein Rhine Embankment
The Lahneck Live festival has developed from its beginnings into one of the most important addresses for a free & open air festival in Rhineland-Palatinate. The concept is deliberately alternative: no admission fee, but a voluntary solidarity contribution of 2 Euros, which helps to cover running costs. The organizer is the non-profit Lahneck Live e.V., which organizes the festival on a voluntary basis.
The venue is the Lahnstein Rhine Embankment — a park-like green space directly at the confluence of the Lahn and Rhine rivers, with a view of Lahneck Castle (the festival's namesake) and Koblenz opposite. Two stages will be used: the Park Stage in the green interior of the grounds and the Rhine Stage with a direct view of the river. This dual setup allows for a dense program without long waiting times.
The Lineup 2026 reflects the festival's profile: young to established Indie, Folk, Singer-Songwriter, Soul, and Alternative acts from Germany and Europe. Make A Move, Black River Delta (Swedish Blues-Rock), CONNY, emi x, Liser, Görda, Suzan Koecher's Suprafon, Die Weiteren Aussichten, and Lahnstein's celebrated Clara John. The exact daily schedule and set times will be published by the organizer in the spring.
On Sunday, May 31, 2026, it is traditionally Family Day with a children's program: crafts and activity stations, face painting, acoustic children's concerts. The festival is thus also an important community meeting point for Lahnstein families.
The audience will be catered for by food trucks and stalls operated by friendly associations or local restaurateurs. Vegetarian and vegan options are standard. Drinks are served in reusable cups for a deposit.
The 2026 festival continues the proven free & open air concept. With the confirmed acts from Indie, Folk, Singer-Songwriter, Blues-Rock, and Alternative, a stylistically diverse season is guaranteed.
The exact program for 2026 (daily schedule of acts on the Park and Rhine stages, set times, possible late-night acts or DJ sets) will be published by the organizer in the spring. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years: opening on Friday evening, full festival operation on Saturday, family focus on Sunday with a children's program.
