Wine Enjoyment on Bavarian Lake Constance
Lindau is located at the eastern end of Lake Constance, in the Bavarian part of the lake's wine region. Here, the Weinbauverein Bayerischer Bodensee e.V. hosts the LAGO Wine Festival in the modern Inselhalle Lindau. Twelve vintners from Bavarian Lake Constance present over 80 wines in one evening — from fresh white wines and Burgundy varieties to red wines from the sun-drenched Lake Constance slopes.
Tasting and Concert
The festival combines two experiences: From 5 PM to 8 PM, the focus is on wine tasting — visitors go from stand to stand, sample wines, and receive advice from the vintners. Included in the admission are water and bread for palate cleansing. From 8 PM onwards, a live concert follows, transforming the hall into a lively party.
Bavarian Lake Constance as a Wine Region
The vineyards between Lindau, Nonnenhorn, and Wasserburg are among the smallest and northernmost wine-growing areas in Bavaria. The mild Lake Constance climate particularly favors Müller-Thurgau, white and grey Burgundy, as well as Pinot Noir. The LAGO Wine Festival offers an opportunity to get to know this regional profile compactly in one evening.
Lindau — the Island in Lake Constance
Lindau captivates with its historic island old town, the famous harbor with its lion and lighthouse, and the view of the Alps. A visit to the LAGO Wine Festival can be well combined with a stroll through the old town or a boat trip on Lake Constance.
LAGO Wine Festival — edition 2026
The LAGO Wine Festival 2026 takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the Inselhalle Lindau. The organizer is the Weinbauverein Bayerischer Bodensee e.V.
Twelve vintners from Bavarian Lake Constance present over 80 wines for tasting. As a highlight for 2026, there will also be guest vintners, who will be announced in January. From 8 PM, the concert by the band FÄTTES B — an energetic mix of beats, rap, and brass — transforms the hall into a party.

2026 Schedule
- 5:00 PM–8:00 PM — Wine tasting: twelve vintners from Bavarian Lake Constance with over 80 wines, plus guest vintners (announced in January). Water and bread included.
- From 8:00 PM — Live concert by the band FÄTTES B (beats, rap, and brass), followed by a party
- Bar and catering (1881 Catering) from 8:00 PM (not included in the ticket)

Early bird tickets approx. €35, from February 1st, 2026, at the regular price approx. €45. Included in the ticket: wine tasting, water, and bread, as well as the concert. Not included: drinks at the bar from 8 PM and food from 1881 Catering. Tickets from the Weinbauverein Bayerischer Bodensee e.V.

Getting There
The Inselhalle Lindau (Zwanzigerstraße 10) is located on Lindau Island, within walking distance of the Lindau-Insel train station. By car, take the A 96 (Lindau exit).
Tickets
Tickets are available from the Weinbauverein Bayerischer Bodensee e.V. Early bird tickets are cheaper; from February 1st, 2026, they will be at the regular price. Included are tasting, water, and bread, as well as the concert; drinks at the bar from 8 PM and food from catering are not included.
