Culture in an Industrial Monument

Since its inception, the Kulturkrafttage Einbeck has established itself as a platform for an extraordinary encounter between music, literature, and urban industrial culture. The venue is the PS.SPEICHER Einbeck, a former grain warehouse that now houses one of the largest collections of historic vehicles in Germany. The monumental architecture and unusual acoustics create a special setting for concerts and readings.

Five Years of Kulturkrafttage

The 2026 edition celebrates the festival's fifth anniversary. In just a few years, the format has become a fixture on the Lower Saxony cultural calendar, bringing internationally acclaimed artists to the Einbeck region. From the opening concert with internationally celebrated soloists to the Sunday matinee with a jazz program, the festival offers a rich and diverse experience.

High-Caliber Artist Lineup

The 2026 lineup includes, among others, the piano duo Bartha and Rinderle, accordion virtuoso Ksenija Sidorova with the Signum Saxophone Quartet, a Kulturkraft talk with actor Heikko Deutschmann, and a closing evening that combines the narratives of the Brüder Löwenherz with Nordic jazz sounds. This program diversity exemplifies the signature of the Kulturkrafttage: high artistic quality, bold combinations, and intimate encounters between the audience and artists.

Festival Venue PS.SPEICHER

The PS.SPEICHER Einbeck opened in 2014 as a mobility museum and houses over 400 historic motorcycles, cars, and trucks. During the Kulturkrafttage, parts of the Speicher are transformed into concert halls and reading rooms – an exciting fusion of industrial and high culture that makes the festival unique.

Kulturkrafttage — edition 2026

The fifth edition of the Kulturkrafttage Einbeck takes place from March 19-22, 2026, at the PS.SPEICHER. For four days, classical music, jazz, chamber music, and literature meet in the unique ambiance of the industrial monument. Featuring the piano duo Bartha/Rinderle, accordionist Ksenija Sidorova, the Signum Saxophone Quartet, a talk with Heikko Deutschmann, and the closing program Die Brüder Löwenherz / Nordic Meets Jazz, the festival presents a particularly rich and diverse program for its fifth anniversary.

From March 19-22, 2026, the PS.SPEICHER Einbeck will be transformed into a festival center for the fifth time. Four carefully curated evenings bring classical music, chamber music, jazz, literature, and talks into dialogue – a dense program with internationally renowned artists.

The Kulturkrafttage stand for the rare combination of industrial culture and concert culture. The open warehouse structure provides an atmospheric backdrop where works of classical modernism are just as captivating as contemporary jazz programs or literary readings.
