MONSTA Open Air with Culcha Candela, Salvatore Mancuso, Phake and TEZZ — Grohe-Forum Sauerlandpark, May 8, 2026
On Friday, May 8, 2026, the German hip-hop and reggae crossover band Culcha Candela will make a stop on their MONSTA Tour 2025/2026 in Hemer. Venue: the Grohe-Forum in Sauerlandpark Hemer — the former State Garden Show grounds from 2010, which now hosts one of the most important open-air stages in the southern Sauerland region.
Culcha Candela combines hip-hop, reggae, dancehall, and pop elements with German, English, and Spanish lyrics. Well-known hits like “Hamma!”, “Monsta”, “Schöne neue Welt”, and “Wildes Pferd” have been staples of the German summer festival season for over 15 years.
The Sauerlandpark Hemer opened in 2010 as the State Garden Show grounds and has since been a permanent, freely accessible park and event venue. The Grohe-Forum (named after the sponsor — Grohe AG is headquartered in Hemer) is the park's central concert arena: an open-air theater with a generous stage, standing room in front of the stage, and tiered seating areas.
The park promotes “Festival atmosphere without chaos” and “Concert enjoyment for all generations and families”. Cashless payment at all stands, organized Park-and-Ride spaces (€10 per vehicle), and pre-registration for wheelchair spaces (hotline 02372/551616) speak to a consciously family- and age-friendly approach.
The MONSTA Tour, named after Culcha Candela's hit “Monsta” (2008), started in 2024 and runs through the entire year 2026 with further stops — including SommerMusik Schloss Rheydt in Mönchengladbach on August 23, 2026. The Hemer date marks the kick-off of the Sauerlandpark's open-air tour season.
Hemer (approx. 35,000 inhabitants) is located in the Märkischer Kreis district in the southern Sauerland region (North Rhine-Westphalia). The town is known for the Felsenmeer (National Natural Monument), the Heinrichshöhle cave, and since 2010, for the Sauerlandpark. Industrially, Grohe (fittings) and several metalworking companies are significant. The Sauerlandpark Hemer is now firmly established as a concert destination in the region between the Ruhr area, Sauerland, and Bergisches Land.
Kick-off for the 2026 Sauerlandpark open-air season: Culcha Candela brings their MONSTA Tour to the Grohe-Forum. Family-friendly festival atmosphere, organized Park-and-Ride access, cashless payment on site.
