Four Weeks of Culture in the Red Tent
KulturImZelt is one of the defining cultural events in the city of Braunschweig. From the end of August to the end of September, the Bürgerpark around Frankfurter Straße transforms into a highly visible venue: the red circus tent offers space for sophisticated concerts, literary evenings, comedy, and variety in an intimate tiered configuration.
A Sophisticated Programme
The 2026 season once again brings together prominent names from the German-speaking world: Herman van Veen opens with two concerts, Timon Krause brings his mentalism show to the tent stage, Thees Uhlmann & Band play a singer/songwriter evening, Lars Eidinger reads from the works of Bertolt Brecht, Salut Salon provides classical-virtuoso entertainment, Stars in Concert – ABBA Edition and the GOP Varieté complete the high-calibre line-up.
Market Weekends
In addition to concert and comedy evenings, KulturImZelt offers several special days around the tent: an arts and crafts market (mid-September), a sustainability market, and a kitsch and culture flea market to kick things off – each with gastronomy, music, and free admission to the grounds.
An Association as Organizer
Behind the festival is the association KulturImZelt e.V., which organises the event together with numerous volunteers. Members benefit from an early booking window; general ticket sales start in April.

KulturImZelt 2026 – Season at a Glance
The 2026 edition of KulturImZelt starts on Thursday, August 27, 2026, with the first of two concert evenings by Herman van Veen and runs until Sunday, September 27, 2026. General ticket sales began on April 10; members of the supporting association had their own booking window on the same day in the evening.
The programme combines concerts, readings, comedy, cabaret, and variety. Additionally, three themed weekend markets will take place around the tent in September.

Advance booking for KulturImZelt members: April 10, 9:00 PM. General advance booking: April 10, 10:00 AM (Note: Member access is in the evening, general sales start in the morning). Tickets available via the organiser's website and the KulturImZelt shop.
