Overview

The 74th Kulmbach Beer Week took place from July 26 to August 3, 2025, in the Bierstadl on EKU-Platz. The Brewer's Baptism, a new ceremonial tradition of the Kulmbach brewery, was held for the first time. Four festival beers, daily show band performances, and around 120,000 visitors made the Beer Week once again one of Germany's largest beer festivals.

In 2025, the Beer Week once again gathered thousands of visitors per day in the Bierstadl on EKU-Platz. The four festival beers — Kulmbacher, Mönchshof, EKU, and Kapuziner — were served in their specially brewed festival week versions. Franconian cuisine was classically on the menu: Schäuferla (pork shoulder), half a chicken, Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick), and Weißwurst-Frühschoppen.

Remarkable was the first Brewer's Baptism in the history of the Beer Week — a newly introduced tradition with which the Kulmbach brewery ceremonially welcomes young brewers into its ranks. Furthermore, in 2025, the city of Kulmbach and the brewery signed a contract extending the Beer Week cooperation until 2036.
