A Late Autumn Classic
The Kordigast-Berglauf traditionally takes place in November — an unusual, but attractive time for mountain runners. The deciduous trees are mostly bare, visibility is far-reaching, and temperatures are often ideal for long ascents. The organizer is TV Weismain 1904 e.V., one of the most traditional sports clubs in the Upper Franconian Obermain Jura region.
Weismain — The Franconian Gateway to the Jura
The small town of Weismain is located in the Lichtenfels district in Upper Franconia (Bavaria) and is considered one of the historic gateways to the Franconian Jura. With its monastery, historic old town, and surrounding hiking and climbing areas, it is also a popular destination for sports-minded weekend tourists.
Who Participates
The race attracts mountain running specialists from all over Upper and Middle Franconia. Online pre-registration and late registration on the day of the event are possible. There are rankings for individual runners and teams.
