About Koblenz Spring Flea Market

The Koblenz Spring Flea Market is one of the largest flea market events on the Rhine. On a Saturday in April, around 460 stalls line the Rhine Gardens and the park behind the Deutsches Eck, offering vintage clothing, jewelry, furniture, books, toys, dishes, records, and collectibles from private owners. The organizer is the City of Koblenz. Nestled along one of Germany's most beautiful Rhine promenades, the market becomes an experience combining bargain hunting, a leisurely stroll, and a spring walk with views of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, the Deutsches Eck, and the cable car.

The Koblenz Spring Flea Market is a firm fixture in the city's spring calendar. With around 460 stalls stretching for several hundred meters along the Rhine promenade and in the park behind the Deutsches Eck, it is one of the largest open-air flea markets in Rhineland-Palatinate.

A Promenade Full of Treasures

The organizer is the City of Koblenz, which opens up the Rhine Gardens for the market twice a year – in spring and autumn. Private individuals from Koblenz and the surrounding region clear out their cellars and attics, collectors offer their duplicates, and genuine bargains can always be found: vintage fashion from the 60s to the 90s, designer lamps, antique furniture, vinyl records, coffee table books, toys, dishes, jewelry, and curiosities of all kinds.

Bargains and Strolling Culture

The special feature of the Koblenz Flea Market is its location. While other markets take place on asphalt surfaces or in commercial areas, visitors here stroll along one of Germany's most beautiful Rhine promenades. To the left, the historic old town; to the right, the Rhine with Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the cable car on the opposite bank: a strolling experience that is worthwhile even if you don't buy anything.

Gastronomy and Breaks

Cafés, ice cream parlors, and restaurants in the city center invite visitors to take breaks along the market route. Food stalls on the market grounds also provide refreshments – from bratwurst and fries to vegan snacks and freshly squeezed juices.

Two Dates a Year

The spring date in 2026 is Saturday, April 11th. The second market follows in autumn (September 12th, 2026) with a similar concept. Both dates attract visitors from the entire Middle Rhine region, the Westerwald, and the Hunsrück. Those who wish to participate as exhibitors can register with the City of Koblenz – places are usually snapped up quickly.
