Koblenz Couture is an urban fashion event that transforms the city centre of Koblenz into an open fashion stage for one day. Koblenz-Stadtmarketing is responsible for the organization, having created a format that showcases the diversity of Koblenz's fashion retail in an accessible, free setting.
Catwalk at the Schängelbrunnen
The centrepiece of the event is the catwalk at Josef-Görres-Platz around the famous Schängelbrunnen, the city's landmark with its cheeky Schängel figure. Several fashion shows throughout the day will showcase current collections from participating stores – from women's and men's fashion to accessories, shoes, glasses, and jewellery. The models are often sales assistants from the stores themselves, underscoring the authentic character.
More Than Just Fashion
A lifestyle market springs up around the catwalk: make-up artists, hairstyling demonstrations, opportunities to try perfumes and cosmetics, and catering with a prosecco bar, café, and small snacks. DJ sounds provide the right atmosphere, and the cafés and restaurants around the square also offer special promotions.
Shop Window Shows and Event Catering
Beyond the main square, many Koblenz fashion stores participate with their own promotions, shop window shows, or extended opening hours. This turns Koblenz Couture into a city-wide fashion day that strengthens the profile of Koblenz's retail scene against the nearby Forum Mittelrhein and supra-regional online giants.
An Urban Day in the City Centre
Koblenz Couture is part of a series of city marketing events that position Koblenz's city centre as an attractive meeting and shopping destination. With a character between a fashion show, family event, and city centre brunch, the format appeals to a broad audience – from fashion-interested teenagers to the regular customers of the boutiques.
