Schützenfest Isernhagen

Four Clubs, One Festival

Isernhagen, a sprawling municipality north of the Hanover region, is divided into several historical Bauerschaften (rural districts): Farster Bauerschaft (FB), Hohenhorst (HB), Kirchhorster Bauerschaft (KB), and Niederhägener Bauerschaft (NB). Each of these Bauerschaften has its own Schützenverein. Instead of four smaller individual festivals, the clubs have been organizing their Schützenfest together for years – as the Schützen-AG Isernhagen. This collaboration pools resources, ensures a larger festival infrastructure, and avoids scheduling conflicts between the Bauerschaften.

Schützengelände Hagenstraße

The joint festival takes place at the Schützengelände Hagenstraße. The festival tent is located there; shooting ranges and outdoor areas provide the setting for three days of programming.

Three-Day Program

The festival runs from Saturday to Monday. Classic components include:

• Saturday: Opening, assembly of the clubs, bird shooting, festival parade, king proclamation, dance evening
• Sunday: Morning pint, family program, dance evening
• Monday: Morning pint, children's afternoon, closing dance and winding down

Isernhagen and the Hanover Region

Isernhagen is conveniently located north of the Hanover region, near Hanover and Langenhagen. The municipality is well connected to Hanover via the city train lines (Line 9). The Schützenfest is an important date in the community's summer calendar.
